Treasure Island Holiday Club update!
I am pleased to say we have been overwhelmed with the demand for our summer holiday clubs this year. We have only a 2 spaces available across all four bubbles. If you are interested in booking these or have already enquired but not yet paid, then act quick. We must operate a ‘first come, first served’ basis and therefore we can’t reserve spaces for any one who hasn’t yet paid. We will endeavour to contact all those who have expressed an interest and been sent a pay link and booking form, but not acted upon these and subsequently missed out, as soon as possible.
Drop in Sessions over the Holidays
Every Friday, 11am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2.30pm, we are open for families to drop in and play with our art materials. We will also be open from Tuesday 23rd July, all week, for drop ins and similarly, from Tuesday the 12th August to Saturday 24th August.
We have a range of things on offer from flower pots to paint, clay, boxes to decorate, canvas painting and more. The perfect activity to keep the kids entertained and dry! NO NEED TO BOOK.

Horsesense UK and Katharine Jennings Fine Art

A new and exciting collaboration! We are teaming up with Horsesense UK, based in Mark Cross, to deliver an amazing art experience for children ages 7 – 12 years. They will get to meet the herd and spend time with them, before learning how to draw horses out in the field with them. After a morning snack, we will do some negative space horse painting on canvases, where the horses may feel like joining in and creating a painting of their own!
Date of event will be 29th August 2024. More details will be released soon along with the link to Eventbrite tickets. To register your interest and be the first to receive the booking details, get in touch via our website contact form or via email.
Caracol Glamping Art Retreat with Katharine Jennings Fine Art Collaboration

Caracol Glamping is based in beautiful surroundings in Groombridge. We are excited to announce we will be collaborating with them to provide a two night, one day, art and glamping experience on the 18th September 2024 for adults. The morning will be spent going for a short walk to explore the local countryside and collecting flora and fauna photos or items along the way. We will then return to learn some Plein air watercolour landscape painting, whilst enjoying glorious kent/sussex views. After lunch, we will be focusing on more botanical watercolour painting, with close up work using the photos or inspiration we collected in the morning.
Final details will be released soon, but if you wish to register your interest, get in touch.
Little Leonardos and Leonardos Art Club news

Little Leonardos – Our art club for 5-11 years continues to be extremely popular and this term, the children have been creating some amazing art journals, which look packed with ideas, inspiration, experimentation and self expression.
Next term both clubs will be entering the walking procession of the Rotherfield Carnival. I won’t reveal what we have planned but it will really be in keeping with our ethos and foundation and the children will learn so much!

Leonardos – Some of our older teenagers are moving on, having just done their GCSE’s or in the midst of exams. This means, we have a few spaces available! Only a few mind you! Megan will be returning from maternity leave to take back the reins and she is chomping at the bit. We do have a waiting list and have been contacting those on it, but I urge you, if you are on it, to check your spam email folders in case you missed us. Otherwise, if you have a 12 – 16 year old who loves art, wants to get to know other local teenagers and join something they will really have a sense of ownership and belonging, get in touch. Our club for this age group is amazing and they get the chance to take charge of our Christmas window each year too!
Our club runs every Saturday, term time, 10am to 12pm.
Exciting News!

Little Leonardos Art Club is expanding! Alongside our Rotherfield based clubs, we will now be running a fourth session at Adamswell Scout Site in Langton Green.
Adamswell is set in beautiful rolling countryside with forests, fields, outdoor classroom, streams, areas of reflection and a great hall for the cold wet days. Plenty of parking and plenty of inspiration for the children.
Our Langton Green club will be starting on the 5th November 2024. If you know parents in the Tunbridge Wells area that would be interested in signing up their children to our wonderful club, please send them our way. For every successful referral, the referrer will get a free Drop in art session at our Rotherfield studio!
Thats it for now, but we have yet more to share for the winter months in a few weeks time. It remains for me to hope and wish you all find some sun, somewhere and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
Love Katharine x
