Do you have a teenager who loves art, but needs space to make a mess, experiment with ideas and meet new friends. Our Saturday morning art club is the place for them. Led by Megan, this club offers a great, free place for the teens to be themselves without judgement. They get to use all the equipment, they work to a theme each term and learn lots of techniques and tricks to use a variety of media.
About Megan
Megan is a fully qualified secondary level art teacher. She has experience of being Head of Art at a nearby secondary school. She is extremely knowledgeable, with a high quality skill set and full of inspirational ideas. She has an uncanny way of communicating with young people, enabling her to build trust and respect.
The Leonardos Atelier Programme
As young artists grow within our Leonardos Art Club, those who show dedication and enthusiasm may be invited to join the Leonardos Atelier Programme.
This pathway offers deeper studio experience, mentoring and the opportunity to develop artistic skills within the working environment of the KJFA Academy and/or our Creative Coffee House.
They will first be invited to take part in work experience opportunities, such as assisting us with our Little Leonardos Art Club and holiday clubs, as well as special events like parties.
If they continue to show this dedication, once they turn 16, there may be opportunities for them to have first refusal on any paid roles at the studio.
We have already, successfully employed a Leonardo Allumni, who is earning money alongside her Art College course.
We are passionate about helping young artists gain valuable real world experience in artistic business. Universities and colleges don’t teach the business side as part of their creative courses, but we do!
Times and Prices
Term time only – Saturdays 10am – 12pm.
Membership price – £64 per month (inc VAT), payable throughout the year, but this can be cancelled at any point if you no longer wish to attend.
